Jacob Jacobsson
Jacob Jacobsson
Chairman of the board

Jacob most recently was CEO of Blaze, Inc. Previously he held executive positions at Xilinx, Cadence, and Daisy Systems. He has served on the board of directors of Actel (Nasdaq: ACTL), and ams AG (SIX: AMS). He serves as chairman of the boards of ATS, Safello, and Cymbet, and is an angel investor and board director of several privately held companies.

Prior to his management career, Jacob was active in the fields of Integrated Circuit (IC) design and automated design of semiconductor chips.

Jacob, a citizen of Sweden and the US, holds MS degrees in CS and EE from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH, Stockholm) and a BA degree from the University of Stockholm.

Lionel Bouchard
CEO

Lionel is a seasoned leader in software product development, leading-edge technology innovation and management.

Lionel started his career in the early 90s as a research scientist at Philips Research. Over the years he held senior software engineering management positions at NXP, Realnetworks, Texas Instruments and Netflix.

A citizen of France, Lionel holds a M.S. degree in Telecommunication from Telecom Paris and a B.S. degree in Mathematics from the University of Nice.

Tim De Reyck
CFO

Tim is a senior finance director skilled in strategy, operations, financial and business planning processes.

15+ years of experience at NXP, InnoEnergy, Nyrstar and KPMG.

Pierre Laboisse
Board member ams AG

Pierre joined ams AG in early 2016 as EVP Global Sales and Marketing. His 25-plus years in the technology industry included EVP with global contract manufacturing company Asteel Flash Group where he was responsible for the corporate strategy and communication, manufacturing, and technology roadmap, as well as leading global sales. Previously, Pierre worked for NXP Semiconductors and Infineon, holding regional and global Senior Management positions in Europe, North America, and Asia.

In his role, Pierre leads the positioning of ams’ growth strategy, cultivate opportunities in new and existing customer markets, and grow demand for ams’ solutions globally.

Pierre holds a Master’s degree in finance and business entrepreneurship, and a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering technology from Paris University.

Cees Geel
Board member

Cees is a senior tech executive with vast experience in setting up, growing/ scaling and leading international organizations.

25+ years of experience at Philips, NXP and venturing.

Jay Hsu
Board member

Jay has worked and was active in the IT technology sector in Asia for 18 years in companies like IBM, BMC Software, Computer Associates. He currently owns and manages 2 companies with Asia presence specializing in passive sensing and Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC) / RFID solution serving a global customer base.

A citizen of Singapore, Jay holds a B.S. degree in Management Information Systems and Finance from Boston University.

Markus Rossi
Technical advisor

Markus is head of the Innovation Office of ams AG.

He was co-founder in 2000 of the company Heptagon which developed into a major supplier for micro-optical solutions in mobile phones and smartphones. Heptagon was acquired by ams early 2017 where Markus has built up an interdisciplinary team for 3D system solutions.

Markus has a master degree in physics (ETH Zurich) and a PhD in micro-optics (EPFL).

With an Electronic Engineering background, John has spent 48 years in the Electronics Industry mainly dealing with Trading, Designing and Manufacturing.
He was a board member for a few Electronic related listed companies in Taiwan and US.

Though he is in his 70s, he still does not want to retire from his work passion. He is investing in companies in which he is offering his experience and elaborate network to enable young entrepreneurs to realize their dreams.

Martin Scheepsbouwer
Observer

Martin has worked in the broader media and technology space for 20 years now. Currently he serves as the CEO for the OLX Group, one of the global leaders in online Classifieds with presence in 40 markets.

In addition he is an investor and advisor for early stage companies.
Finally, Martin further broadened his professional impact by publishing his thoughts on best-in-class problem solving: ‘Thinking Backwards’, which is published in 5 languages (English, Dutch, German, Chinese and Japanese).

Mark Hamersma

Mark is the Chief Business Officer of ams AG.

Prior to joining ams in 2016, Mark was a Senior Vice President with NXP Semiconductors, where he was responsible for corporate strategy, M&A and corporate communications, and also was General Manager of emerging businesses.

Mark worked for NXP Semiconductors for over 11 years. Previous to this, he was a partner at McKinsey & Company and focused on clients in high-tech, telecoms and private equity.

Mark holds a Master of Science degree in Physics from Leiden University and a Master of Business Administration degree from INSEAD, Fontainebleau. He is a citizen of the Netherlands.
